=> Probably QMapShack would write the registry also at start.ĭeinstallation via Windows/Apps (before I had always overwritten an old installation), Windows restart => It opens on the 4k screen and writes the registry paths QLandkarte and QMapTool. Rename old QMapShack installation directory, Install v 1.16 again into an empty folder. => no change, no new registry path written => no new registry entry written, no changeĬan't rename the program directory because something locks the folder. Installed again version 1.16 on top of the existing path ( repair Microsoft Visual C ) to see if the registry entry comes from installation or execution of the program exe => no change, no new registry path written. Renamed "QLandkarte" in registry to "Q-Landkarte_defekt". => no new registry entry written also during installation, no change Installed version 1.16 on top of the existing path ( repair Microsoft Visual C ) Renamed the whole "QMapShack" in registry into "QMap-Shack_defekt" => no change, no new registry path was written at program start. Try to log the start with C:\Program Files_Navigation\QMapShack>"C:\Program Files_Navigation\QMapShack\qmapshack.exe" -fĬhecked the registry, renamed "MainWindow" into "MainWindow_defekt" because I thaught that is the place where some bogus information could come from. Installed actual version 1.16 from on top of 1.15.1 into the same folder => no change. 2004, QMapShack Version 1.15.2 (initially) What have you done to circle down the problem?Ĭonnected the 4k screen again and used it as single display in portrait and landscape mode (I do not remember the exact screen configuration 3 months before) => no change (QMapShack didn't start). Dell Latitude E6510, i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, Windows 10, Vers. (I had such a problem in the past and fixed that with re-connection of that screen.) Next time I started QMapShack without the external monitor and it didn't start.ĭue to the speciality with the external monitor I had the hypothesis that QMS tries to reuse that screen and does not open until it finds exact the same screen. ![]() The maps are printed but I need to export the gpx-track as well. QMS did run at thist time at the 4k screen. Last usage was 3 month ago: I connected a 4k monitor to the laptop to print maps into pictures. I used QMapShack since 5 years on this laptop. There appears no task in task manager, no registry entry, no log file when started with -f and no message. QMapShack didn't start after I haven't used the program for 3 months.
